Jordan Update Aug-2020
This is the latest update from Issa and Abi, they are a family who BRC supports as they minister in the country of Jordan. We had planned on being there with them for this conference but God had other plans.
Greetings, kind supporters,
I know it’s been far too long since I’ve written. Amidst Covid craziness, our communication with you has fallen by the wayside, and we apologize.
Jordan (pop. 10 million) is basically Covid-free and we’ve been meeting in person as a church for some time now, but we still remain under precautionary rules, not the least of which is the airport being closed.
I’m writing this quick update to ask for prayer for our first ever Youth Retreat (which includes Young Adult age too) this Thurs-Sat, Aug 6-8. I will be teaching on trust and how to build relationships, a quality sorely lacking here, which is part of why they don’t see the value of the local church.
This retreat was made possible by a generous grant given to us by one of our supporting churches, Barabbas Road Church. Thank you guys so much (and we’re missing you!).
Prayer Requests:
1. The salvation of the lost, which is most of the 20 youth coming, and deeper church relationships for the believers.
2. Protection over our family. We feel that we’ve been under spiritual attack in the preparation for this Retreat and we’re battle-worn.
Thank you for enduring this brief update. We hope to let you know how it went soon!
With Gratitude,
Issa, Abi, and the kids (Gloria, Emmanuel, Shepherd, and Gideon)
