“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
~ Deuteronomy 6:6-7

NURSERY (BIRTH – 2 YEARS)

TIMES AND CHECK-IN PROCEDURE:

If you are a new visitor, we will need you to fill out a registration form with emergency information and contacts for your child, so we suggest arriving around 9:45am to allow for a smooth drop-off.

At check-in, you will receive a pager number when you sign your child in. This number will act as our primary means to contact you during service and will appear on the big screen, should there be any need for you to return to the front desk of our Children’ Church. This pager number will also act as your ticket to sign-out your child.

WHAT TO BRING

When preparing for your child’s stay in the nursery please provide the following items:

  • A change of clothes for spit ups, spills or diaper accidents.
  • A plastic bottle or sippy-cup (unless breast-fed only)
  • A pacifier, if used, on a short ribbon with a clip at the other end
  • A blanket, stuffed toy or any other comfort item for your child

* Due to sanitary purposes and safety reasons our caregivers will page you if a diaper needs to be changed.
* Please be sure to label every item brought with your child in permanent marker. This is to ensure that each item is returned to the diaper bag prior to leaving the nursery.

SAFETY:

Safety is important to us, therefore we have put several policies in place:

  • Adults 18 years old and up are authorized to check-in and check-out a child
  • At check-in, the authorized adult receives a pager number that will act as their ticket to check-out their child as well as emergency page if they are needed during service
  • Each class contains at least one volunteer trained in First Aid and CPR
  • All volunteers are screened and background checked before serving in our classrooms
  • We maintain a safe ratio of child to adult in each classroom
WELLNESS POLICY:

In order to keep our classrooms a safe and healthy place, we ask that you keep your child in your care if they have experienced the following symptoms within the past 24 hours:

  • Fever
  • Rash or skin infection
  • Persistent Cough
  • Non-clear runny nose
POTTY TRAINING POLICY

Parents, in order to better minister and care for your child, we ask that you please send your child in a pull-up if he/she is potty training but is not yet potty-trained. We describe a child as potty trained if the parent can drop off the child with no special instructions about taking the child to the bathroom. The potty trained child will tell a worker if they need to go. You are also welcome to stay with your child in the classroom while they are potty training to maintain consistency in the potty training process. As you know, accidents do happen. However, our goal is to provide the best possible care for your child and that includes maintaining a clean and sanitary room.
